I am currently finishing up a BA in French, minor in Community Development, at Portland State University (Winter 2017). I have lived in Rennes, France, were I received a Certificate of French Language, Advanced Level, at Université Rennes II.
Experience
I really enjoy teaching because it's a way to connect with people and share what I'm passionate about. During my year abroad, I tutored young French children in English. They would pick up a word or phrase and play with it, repeat it over and over or sing it, exploring the sound. As a yoga teacher, I see the same joy in my students as they are driven by genuine curiosity to advance in their practice. My goal is to support and guide that process. My tools are getting organized, identifying and eliminating obstacles that cause stress and frustration, building familiarity, understanding and confidence.

Hobbies
Apartment management pays the bills, but I am a yoga teacher at heart. I love to cook and have an intermediate certificate in wine. Although I can be a bit of an introvert, I like to take classes to learn new things and meet people. Right now I'm taking Argentine Tango and working on the 500 hr yoga teacher certificate. I live in NW Portland with my boyfriend, my 8 year-old daughter and a French Bulldog. I take lots of pictures of them because they are ADORABLE. I dream of someday renovating a little house and opening a yoga studio in Annecy, France.
