I attended Middlebury College, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Biology. Since then, I have had the opportunity to travel, experience new cultures and adventures, and work on the prerequisites for medical school, which I am in the process of applying to. Learning is a passion of mine, and the learning process, such as the most effective strategies and methods, the psychology involved, and the different ways to conquer barriers are things that I have really focused on. I have learned a lot about the barriers, especially, that we create for ourselves, in addition to those that exist naturally. When I tutor a student, my first job is to identify what their greatest challenge is, whether that be strategy, content, or mindset. Working from there, we focus on the areas that need work, and I create, along with my student, an individualized study plan that will lead to their success. Frequently, students have problems with confidence, focus, or anxiety, and I have a lot of insight working to overcome these barriers through mindfulness and self-awareness. I am able to tutor students in a wide variety of subjects, from science and math to ELA and social students. I can also help them prepare for standardized exams, like the SAT, MCAT, and more.
