Education
I am a recent graduate with a BA in Mathematics from University of Portland. While at UP I developed a number of formal math portfolios, explored a variety of subject areas (from computer science to painting), and participated in a research project which we will be presenting at a conference in Boston this summer (amidst other festivities of course - ultimate frisbee, concerts, etc.).
Experience
I have tutored elementary and high school level math, lead a number of elementary small groups, and assisted in the teaching of a 5th grade mathematics class. I am interested in graduate studies in education and would like to expand my teaching and tutoring experience. I am also currently working toward my TESOL certification.

Hobbies
In my free time I enjoy biking, climbing, running, travel, and spending time with friends. Last summer I worked in Kenya as an intern for sustainable development. In the future I hope to stay with host families in Spain, Argentina, and Prague. I learning new languages and going places I haven't been before.
