After completing my bachelors degree at Portland State I taught English in South Korea, returned to Oregon to complete a masters degree in education, taught High School math in Hawaii. Now I'm happy to be back in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. My name is Drew Laiche. During the weekdays I am a Substitute Math Teacher for Portland Public Schools. Evenings and weekends I tutor math for students that are struggling to keep up with their current Algebra 1 class or those looking to get ahead so that they can complete Calculus before graduating High School. I have experience teaching my own math classes at both Middle and High School levels. I know the road bumps that students experience throughout the math curriculum and I have developed multiple techniques for addressing gaps in knowledge that can derail students success with math.
