Education
In 2014, I earned a BA in English Literature at University of California, Berkeley. I received a 3.9 GPA. I am currently enrolled as a 3rd Year MFA Candidate in Dramatic Writing at the University of Southern California. I hold a 3.8 GPA. During the school year, I serve USC as a Teaching Assistant and Grader. I know exactly what teachers, professors and admissions officers want to see when they read an essay.
Experience
I currently work as a Teaching Assistant in the School of Dramatic Arts at USC. My mission is to help improve my students' writing skills as well as their confidence. During my undergraduate years, I won every scholarship my Department provided to high-achieving English Majors, as well as the Hugh Richmond Shakespeare Prize for my paper, "Shakespeare's Genre-benders". For the last three years, I have worked with many students on their college/nursing/med school admissions essays. Every single one of them got into the school of their choice. I have taught and facilitated classes and workshops at the college, junior high and elementary school levels since I was sixteen years old. My short fiction has been published in several online literary magazines.

Hobbies
I'm a playwright and novelist from Valencia, California. I spent my childhood playing make-believe, writing stories and novels. In high school, I volunteered for the Food Bank and the Heritage Haunt. I took too many AP courses while studying hard for my SATs. Outside of class, I was a huge theatre nerd and spent most of my free time competing regionally and performing in shows. Though I got into both UCLA and UC Berkeley, I wanted a big change. So I moved up to Berkeley in Fall of 2010 to study English Literature and Theatre. When I wasn't studying, I was acting, writing, directing and producing plays with my friends. I also served as the Berkeley English Undergraduate Association President for two years. I took a year off after undergrad, pursuing a career in Marketing. I was good at my job but the work wasn't rewarding. So I applied to MFA programs in Creative Writing and found myself at USC. When I'm not in class or grading papers, I love playing with my dog, drinking coffee with a good book and watching Netflix with friends. I believe teaching is a critical part of the arts and it means a lot to me to be able to share what I've learned with tomorrow's game-changers.
